My Favorite Things

For X-mas I received a few things that were my absolute favorite!

1. Starbucks Cards (5)
2. Starbucks Snow Globe (Thanks Mom!)
3. A new printer. It's a scanner, color printer and prints photos. Will come in handy for my scrapbooking and card-making.
4. William Sonoma Apron and Pot Holders (Thanks Sweets!)
5. Victoria Secret Pink Sweat Outfit and it's so cozy!
6. New Starbucks ornanment (Treat to myself)

I got a few other things, but these were my favorite. Our X-mas with the family was very nice considering I've been sick for the last week. I also received a really neat pre-made X-mas scrapbook. All I have to do is add photos and some journaling and I'm done!

I can't wait to take everything down this weekend and get ready for my annual New Year's cleaning!

What A Drag

I've been sick for the last few days and it SUCKS! I though yesterday i was feeling better so I headed out and went shopping and now I wish I would have stayed in bed. Now I am paying for it! We are having dinner at my in-laws tonight so I must get better. So Alex is letting me stay in bed all day until its time to get ready. Although I can't complain that much because we just finished watching Home Alone (another tradition movie) had some breaksfast, and drank coffee out of our new X-mas mugs. So I am happy, just bummed though.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

At Last

Now I have completed my Christmans To Do List. I've done my cards, baking, shopping, wrapping, and now I can just relax. I went to Blockbuster and rented National Lampoon Christmas. Tonite me and Alex are going to watch it over some In and Out Burger! It's a tradition for us. We rent old Christmas movies, cuddle and have a nice evening together.

Frosty the Snowman

Tonite my brother, sister and I watched Frosty the Snowman and drank some hot cocoa. It was just too cute for the fact that they were listening, not running around, and we were just enjoying the movie and sipping our cocoa.

Good to know that they can enjoy a movie with their "big" sister.

Giving Back

Today my family and I went and helped out at a family shelter. Alex was Santa and me and my little brother were Santa's helpers. It was nice to give back and it made me appreciate what I have more. Just watching the families get excited over the little things that we did for them was moving. We passed out presents, candy canes and a little moose reindeer.

From now on Alex and I have committed to giving our time each holiday season instead of just writing a check. I will post some pictures in a few days.

After that my family and I got a X-mas tree and we went back home (my parents) and we decorated the tree. The kids were super excited and too cute.

Then we headed to Target to get last minute gifts. We even got ourselves a few things. We got some X-mas flannel sheets, X-mas PJ's and I got more X-mas socks.

Tomorrow we are meeting some friends for Secret Santa and then have to start my baking!

Christmas Party

Last night was my company's Holiday party. It was held at Maggiano's in Santana Row. Had some good food, good wine, good company and some fun!

We got a stocking filled with some nice goodies! Can't wait to put the gift cards to use. Also a co-worker/friend made an ornament that was way cute.

Here is a picture of us....

Mission Acomplished

Yesterday, Alex and I got up super early and headed out to Valley Fair to start/finish our Christmas Shopping. We were able to get my family, his family, our Secret Santa gifts, and I even picked up a little something for my scrapbook friends. We were finished around noon time..so we did good time. But I still have to take a trip to Target to grab a few more gifts. I even had some free time to do a little scrapbooking and even made it to the gym.

All in all it was a successful day at the mall!

Although this week is going to be super busy.

Finish up classes (Finals!)
Company Holiday party on Thursday (Maggiano's and so looking forward to it!)
Alex is Santa on Saturday for a Homeless shelter
On Sunday hang out with some friends and do some holiday activities. (Have to wrap gifts)
TONS OF BAKING on Sunday for Alex's co-workers!!!!

Not sure why I just wrote my schedule, I should have wrote it in my planner! HEHEHE

Maybe I'll get a breather in there! =)

Hope you all have a nice week!

Fun Filled Day

Here are some of the X-Mas cards that I've made today. I made around 15 of them.

The first two aren't my favorite...but I did my best.

Our X-mas Tree

Here is a phots of our tree. This year we decided to go artifical and small. But it's very cute. It decorated with my Starbucks ornaments and some special ones that we've received and collected over the years.

Starbucks Lover

Well since the Christmas Holiday spirit is kicking in for me (Official this Friday!) I've gotten the following items for Starbucks:

- The latte ornaments (Early Gift from my mom)
- Christmas Blend Coffees
- I've got a new Starbucks card...the cute blue snowflake one..

Then on my way up to a meeting with a co-worker today we were listening to Christmas music on 94.5 and it so got me in the mood!

So this Friday I am officially starting the Christmas decorations and will be working on my X-mas cards. Hmmmm...I might even have to take a trip to Starbucks and purchase the Snow Globe. Since that is other "new" thing I'm doing during the holiday seasons.

Wine Lovers

On Saturday me, my mom, grandma, and 3 of my aunties took a day trip to Napa. We rented a limo and with that we went to five wineries.

1. Robert Mondavi (MY FAVORITE WINE)
2. Beringer - That one was kind of boring. My mom kept calling it the 7-11 winery!
3. Merryvale - Nice, but expensive
4. V, Sattui - Our favorite. It was cute, the people were nice and my mom kept flirting with Bob!
5. Peju - This one was a little snotty. You had to know everything about wine and look like a million dollars.

For lunch we went to a resturant called Martini House which was so elegant and expensive, but my grandma being sweet that she is treated us all to lunch. All in all we had such a wonderful time.

For Alex's upcoming b-day and Valentine's since its two days apart I'm taking him to Napa. He is all jazzed about it!

Well I spent most of my day at school. I got alot of upcoming assignments and projects done. Good news is I can just enjoy the last couple of weeks left and not stress so much about school. Bad news I have take finish my last unit of math this sememster! So I have to first take my quiz tomorrow..and I'm sort of prepared but I still have to go over a few things. Not going to stress about it, so I will just do the best that I can tomorrow and take it from there.

Vacation - Day 1

Again I've decided to take some much needed vacation from work.

Today started off as a usual Monday, got up and went to school. Then afterwards just came home did some scrapbooking and made a list of things to buy for the upcoming X_mas holiday. Mostly for my cards and some decorations. Soon after I went to my mom's and visited for awhile. Then around 3:30pm I was home and passed out on the couch and next thing I know its 5:30pm and its DARK outside. So here I am groggy, bored, and just waiting for tomorrow to be here. Not really sure why I am s bored. I thought I would be thrilled to not do nothing.

Tomorrow will be better though since I will be at school most of the day finishing up some last minute projects and homework.

Happy Birthday Brother!

Today is my lil brother's b-day. He turned 8 today. Being the good sister that I am I went over and bought him a cake and 2 b-day gifts. He really liked that fact that I came over on my day off (from babysiting) and spent the evening with him. Although he was a lil emotinal today he still seemed to enjoy the special moments.

I got him the Monster House dvd so as I was leaving, him and Victoria were watching it quietly.

This weekend is his b-day bash!

Borat

OH MY GOODNESS, this movie was so funny! Me and Alex saw it Saturday nite and it was the best spent Saturday in a long time.

If you have not seen this movie, it's a must. But I must warn you that if you take things personal and get offensive easily than it's not the movie for you. See for me I love movies like that where you can be honest. Since I am a pretty blunt person it is right up my alley. Alex, as well enjoyed the movie very much. It's worth buying too.

Calmness

Here is the card that I made for my friend, Jen.

Well nothing too excting has happened.

Except that this week and been so calm and stress free for me. I'm learning not to sweat the small stuff. It really seems to be working. I just figured you know people are going to be the way they are and the sad thing is they have to wake up every day with themselves being bitchy or "I know it all" attitude and I'm just glad that I can now wake up and cherish the day and not get so uptight and EMOTIONAL about those little things. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

Although this weekend is going to be jam packed. Friday night I have tutoring..I know kinda sucks, but I'm meeting my tutor, which is a friend of mine, at Panera Bread so I get to grab some yummy coffee and their french toast bagel. Aahh the little things in life that make my smile. =)
Saturday I'm FINALLY getting my haircut, have to run some errands for a bridal shower, make a card for the Bride-to-Be...I'll post afterwards. Then Saturday evening having date nite will Alex. We are due for one, so I think we might go see the movie Borat. Although I am not sure if he wants too.
Sunday is the bridal shower and I'm so excited! I have to say at first when I took the role as a bridesmaid I though "Oh no!', but come to find out she is an awesome bride and friend. Not a BRIDEZILLA! So the shower and all the events to occur will be fun!

I hope everyone else is having a nice week!

Tea Time

Today me and my friends went to Lisa's Tea Treasures in Santana Row. It turned out to be a hit! We all dressed up very girly, some of us including myself wore pearls, I gave out favors, and it was just fun!

We all had tea, cute petite sandwiches, and yummy desserts.

I would defintely go there again!
