Today so far has started off on a good start...had an amazing boot camp workout, went to Starbucks and go tme prety yellow happy flowers. Goin to get ready for a family BBQ.

It's HOTT!!!!

The past few days have been scorching hot! I usually love the sun and laying out the pool, but not this time around. I am inside, AC going full blast, and scrapping!!!

Feels good though!

Not much is going on...just been running, scrapping, and enjoying the Summer Days. Next week is my 3-year wedding anniversary! The past 3 years have been the greatest. I do have to say I have a great hubby! Plus he has an AWESOME Wife! We just get along great, have tons of fun, and both want to acheive many things in life. The "kid" talk has come up lately and we will be "trying" in 2 years! Yup 2 years once we get back from our 5 Year anniversary Hawaii trip. By that time I should be closer to finishing school too.

In the meantime we are going to enjoy being a couple!

Happy Father's Day

Today me and the fam bam got together for Father's Day. It was fun! While my parents went and had cocktails, me and the kids hung out. We did some crafts for dad, the kids played in the water hose. Then we had a YUMMY dinner made by my mom and cake too. We watched some family flicks. Overall it was fun!

ALthough my mom was feeling a little bummed..she deals with depression so I was getting concerned about her which kinda put me in a funk. I know I can't let her depression control me but its still hurts at the same time. I just want the best for her, but she is getting better each day and lately she has had better days than bad days.

On a happy note tomorrow a friend is coming over aftework to SCRAP! I can't wait!!!!!!

Overall today was a good day.

Ready to get the week started: Gym, Work, Sleep, Stress, Be Happy, Enjoy the Summer Days, Read, and Live Life!!!!

Weekend Recap

Ok...so i am back from a wonderful summer weekend! here is a recap!

Friday: I watched Sex and the City with my favorite scrap gals! It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo GOOD!!!!! I laughed, cried and AWE!! I was very satsifed in the end!

Saturday: Spent the day with my mom. We went to the Flea Market and went and got pedicures. Towards the middle of the day I went shopping with a friend and got a dress for Vegas...it's SEXY! But not slutty..LOL Then in the evening as I was "napping" my friend called to see if I wanted to go to the New Kids on the Block concert......UM YEAH! So I told her yeah and she is getting us tixs!

Sunday: Me and the hibs went to the Art and Wine Festival! It was alot of fun...i some saw old "friends" but for sure not going to KIT! DRAMA and I just don't have time to rekindle, if you know what I mean. If we didn't remain friends maybe it was the best thing...but it was still nice to see them. I got a funky tan from my dress, drank some good vino and enjoyed being cute with the hubs.

So yeah that is my weekend and so not ready to get back to work tomorrow!! One more week and back to school!

Giving Back

Some of you may know that I am a Crisis Counselor for the Suicide and Crisis Center. If not...I am and I love it! Tonight there was a screening for new volunteers to come and see what our organization is all about. It gave me the chance to share my experience with sucicide, depression and my time there! I have been there for a year and I love it! It is truly very theraptic for me and it allows me to give back to my community and also helps me cope with my mother's depression and sucuide thoughts.

I truly beleive that I was an inspiration to the newcomers and I like that feeling.

So not to get you all depressed I just wanted to share my feelings on that. It was very rewarding and I have blessed to have the life that I have. Even with the good and bad..it only makes me stronger woman!

Starting Off Young!

I needed to get my "fix" after I picked up the kids which meant we headed to Starbucks...one of my favorite places to go. So Ms. Victoria got a Vanilla Bean frap and Vincent got a cookie and I got my usual: Skinny Vanilla Latte. Since I liked to sit there at times and read I figured why not experience that with the kids minus the reading. It was cute and I told them this is one of my favorite places to come.

The rest of the day was fun! We made dinner together and had a yummy dessert: Strawberry Shortcakes. My mom used to make them for me when I was little so I wanted to make the for them. They sure were yummy, although since I am watching my figure I just had the strawberries with low fat cool whip. YUMMY!

The kids are now settles down and I am here blogging and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Man I am just thinking like a "mother" would...lol! My day will come and we can't wait. Until now I will suck up all the practice!

Feeling Great....

woke up at 7am, did laudry, cleaned the apt, made coffee and ate breakfast. No gym cause my body is sore! I am having the kids this weekend. Later today I am either taking them to Build a Bear or the Borders. They wanted to go to Toys R Us, but they have enough toys!

Another thing that has concerned me is myy 9 year old brother has been watching WWF! I am not sure if it's a bad thing or a good thing. He is a good kid and doesn't do bad things, not to say he won't ever but i just don't want him to be inspired by all that! Especially now a days boys can be mean and aggressive and honestly little punks. So i will have to see how is behavior is while he is watching it here at my place.

i also have decided to open a college account for all 3 of them. i know it should be my parents thingy to do, but i want to help and encourage them to go to college. so each month for the two that are in school i will put $10 a month in savings and when they turn 18 they will have a check for school.

i am their big sister and if anything want to be a role model to them! i know they look up to me already which keeps me going.

speaking of Borders, I have been reading "Beautiful Boy". It's a memoir about a father writing about his son's addiction to drugs. so far it's good but a tad slow.

A few happy moments.....

I'm Back!!

Alot has been going in the past few months, good and bad.

First I will start with the bad: Had a few family issues that I had to deal with...it was a tough road, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. My mom deals with depression and it can take a toll on the whole family. But she is a strong woman and I just know that she will get through this.

School: I finally come to terms of what I want to be when I grow up! At first I thought I wanted to be a Social Worker, but with all the hype of my own family drama, not so much. So I have instead got on my 2 year plan to finish and leave City College with an AA in Business and then transfer to San Jose State and get my BA in Business. Work has defintely turned around for me and I am very happy there!

Now on to the good stuff!

I just finished running the Bay to Breakers: 12k = 7.34 miles and finished in 1 hour and 13 mins!!!!

I am going to sign up for the San Jose Rock n Roll Half Marathon! I am so excited to finish this game.

I have been doing alot of scrapbooking and I just have to say that I am an official Close to My Heart snob! LOL I did some spring cleaning and went thru all my scrappy stuff and good lord i have way too much...so i have been selling it and what is left I wil donate to the YMCA.

Me and Alex are doing well and we will be going to Vegas together in September and we so can't wait!

Well it really felt good to write this and I will be posting more as I realized this is a good therapy for me.

Oh Sunny Day!

WOW isn't this weekend's weather GORGEOUS! It has been a great weekend I might add. My friend Rachel and I had a great time catching up and doing we what we do best..SCRAP! We had breakfast, went to an awesome scrapbook store in Berkeley and then headed back to my place for some scrappin. We got quite a few layouts done! I scrapped my Napa trip and NY Eve. The NY Eve layouts were my favorite!

I truly cherish my time with her. She rocks!

Today I did my morning spinning class and then went to Starbucks and had my skinny latte! Now I am getting ready to head out and go tutor and then off to my parents for family day! YAY!!

I'm Still Alive

I haven't blog in awhile, but things are well. Just been super busy with school. Trying to cram as many classes as I can by end of next year so I can transfer to San Jose State! YAY!

But other than that I have been working out like crazy, scrappin almost every weekend, and just enjoying life. So far my New Years goals have been working out just fine. =)

V-day was awesome! I got pretty flowers and a jewelry box from Alex. My grandma got me The Secret book.

Dance Like No One is Watching

Tonight I decided to get some scrappin done along with some red wine. Well after a few glasses I figured hey why not put on some music! I did and ended up dancing in my living room to Britney's Gimme More! Super fun!

Alex was like "what are you doing??" I told him "I'm dancing"...and of couse he laughs and says "go ahead..enjoy yourself!" AWE!

Healthier Coffee?

I'm sure you have heard of the new SKINNY LATTE'S at Starbucks that are only 90 calories!

Yup your probably thinking why are you concern with calories...you are skinny! Well behold I may be skinny but I am eating healthier these days.

So when I heard the my favorite treat is only 90 calories I'm all over it! It still comes in my two favorite syrups: Vanilla and Cinnamon Dolce!

And they are soooo tasty!

Get this....I even have cut backed on trips to Starbucks too! YAY FOR ME!

Off To A Good Start

One of my scrappin goals was to use what I have a complete one layout a week. Well guess what I did! Not only did I use two kits that I had for awhile, I also got 6 layouts done! YAY!!

Tomorrow I'm going to work on two cards for a swap!

It was Blissful Afterall

So after being terrible sick with my infection, I was finally able to get out of bed on Saturday and enjoy the last few days of the Christmas Holiday.

-Sunday I had a wonderfeul date with my friend Yvonne. We saw the movie PS: I Love You which was so cute. Then we had a lovely dinner at Macarroni Grill, exchanged gifts and had great conversations.

-Sunday nite me and my mom went X-mas shopping to the wee hours of the night, but I got everything I needed to get.

Monday-Celebrated Christmas Eve with my family and the kids make Sugar Cookies. That was fulfilling to see all the kids faces light up with excitement as they were mixing the dough.

Christmas Day- Was very relaxing. We opened gift and me and Alex enjoyed playing with the kids toys! LOL Afterwards Alex and I came home and just cozied up in our X-mas jammies on the couch and watch some TV and I baked some cookies for us.

Now I'm just dreading the moment that I have to wake up for work! UGH! Not really sure what diaster I'm going to walk in. But I do sure hope that it's not hell because I just got out of that with me being sick for a whole week! I know I sound bitter but I have my reasons.

With that said I am thankful that I was able to have a nice holiday afterall. Didn't get to do any of my traditions, but it sure was nice to be with my family and create more memories together.

Ok so I would not usually post something like this but since I am on bed rest and bored out of my MIND i figured why not!

So I ended up having a bacterial infection on my buttocks for the past week. At first I figured that it was a bug bite, but I was wrong. It got so infected that I had to have a minor sugery yesterday morning to get it all cleaned out and let me tell you I have never been in so much pain in my life. I was screaming my head off that they almost had to drug me. I mean they numbed my butt but still!! To top that off I have to have the area cleaned twice a day and that is a huge pain in the ass...literally!!!!

Now it's getting much better but still sore and I am not able to sit on my butt. I never watched so much tv in my life! Alex has been great! He as been there for me and I think he is even getting annoyed with me. LOL

I never thought I would say this but I am so looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.


So my advice to you is to always wash your hand, use toilet seat covers, and never ever share athletic equipment!!! I beleive that I got it at the gym. SUCKS!!

And to makes matters worst this whole weekend was suppose to be filled with holiday stuff, but did not happen. No tree, no shopping, and no family day. =( I am really looking forward for the hoidays to end. It has not been jolly for me.

It's Starting to Feel Like Christmas

I finally got to have some free time to get in the spirit. I got to decorate our little apartment with a few things that I have bought and I got together with a friend to make Christmas gifts. They came out so cute. I can't post just yet because a few of readers will be getting one. ;>

This upcoming Saturday we are getting our Christmas tree so that will be super exciting!

This past Friday was Alex's holiday party from work. We had such a great time! I even got to get all dressed up which is so rare for me. Man it's alot of work to get all dressed up for a big event! But it sure was fun playing dress-up.
