WALK AMERICA

Yesterday my family and some friends did the March of Dimes Walk American walk. They support pre-maturity. Being that my baby brother was born pre-mature we were able to raise money for the foundation and walk 7 miles at Vasona Park. We a great feeling it was to do something so positive but also so close to home. My mom did a great job and she was so happy to do the walk. My aunt did really well even though she had a hard time towards the end she still finished. Me and my sister rocked! Poor thing had to keep up with her fitness sister! LOL

We decided to make it a tradition and do it every year! It even inspired my mom and aunt to start exercising. So proud of them all.

Getting Better At...

Running! This past Friday a friend and I checked out the store Running Revolution to purchase some good running shoes for our training and upcoming marathons. Well today I put them to use and OMG I can so tell the difference. As I was running my feet didn't hurt and the run felt smooth. The shoes were a little pricey, but worth it.

So after working out today, Alex and I headed back so he can grab a pair.

My runs have gotten better. I'm not out of breath, run longer, and feeling fit again. I been doing 6-8 miles a week and so far it's been good.

This Saturday me, my mom, my sister, my friend and her mom are doing the March of Dimes: Walk America at Vasona Lake. I can't wait. I get to share my fitness with my mom and sister. Even better we are walking in my brother's honor since he was born pre-mature. Will be fun!

You know you are....

A Die Hard Scrapbooker when you go to Michael's in your pj's and no make-up to buy some adehsevie!!! LOL

Since this weekend was a stay at home weekend I wanted to scrapbook. So I ran out of adehisve and had to go to Michaels.

I am currently finishing up some pages that are long over due, drinking some Margarita's and watching the PussyCat Doll Marathon.

So far a good weekend!

I'm Registered!

So Alex and I registered for the upcoming ING Bay to Breakers 12K. I am so getting ready for it. I've been training for the past few weeks to gain my cardio. I really want to be able to run the whole event, but we will see. If worst case, run at least half. I still have quite a path to finish, I'm running everyday, eating better, cutting back on the lattes and resting more.

I really don't want to be a "Die Hard Runner" but to complete this marathon and another this year would be such a huge accomplishment for me. I have to get some running shoes and a runners outfit in the next few weeks.

Post Easter

That is me in my William Sonoma apron and of course a wine glass!

Alex and I..not the best but it works.

Check out the gingerbread houses the kids made yesterday! I got them at Michaels' for real cheap but the frosting was difficult and messy! Overall the kids enjoyed it.

Happy Easter

Today was a good day. We spent the day with my family. We had a nice dinner, egg hunt for the kids, and each got a Easter basket filled with goodies. Alex and I got a Starbucks gift card (the new design which is so cute), each got a Starbucks mug and my mom got us our his/her mugs filled with candy!

We are now relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet which we have not had in the last few weeks. We have just been SUPER busy. For the next couple of weekends are are just going to chill. Which means I can get some scrapbooking and other craft projects done.

Hope you all had a nice Easter.

Been Awhile

I haven't posted a blog in a few weeks. Been really busy from work and other things going on.

We just celebrated my little brother's 1st birthday last weekend. We had a party for him and it was fun.

Other than that nothing really exciting has been going on.

BUT...since I had today off I though I head to Michael's to grab a few things for Easter. As I was paying for my items I noticed a flyer that was promoting Martha Stewart! Coming April 29th Michael's will be carrying her line of paper crafting products. Since I like Martha I am pretty stoked about that!

So to all my crafty friends, go to Michaels around that time!

Also I did not know that there is a official Scrapbook Day: May 5! Isn't that cool!
