Decisions

After much going back and forth as to staying home or going out, we finally decided that we would go out. Low key of course. We've got invited to a party, but since I been sick with a terrible cough I though it would be a good idea to stay inside. But after watching Lifetime and laying in bed for the last few days I started to go stir crazy. So we decided that dinner and movie would be the best way to ring in the new year.

After that we plan on coming home and popping open one of the many bottles of wine we received for X-mas and toast to the new year.

See you all in 2007!

My Favorite Things

For X-mas I received a few things that were my absolute favorite!

1. Starbucks Cards (5)
2. Starbucks Snow Globe (Thanks Mom!)
3. A new printer. It's a scanner, color printer and prints photos. Will come in handy for my scrapbooking and card-making.
4. William Sonoma Apron and Pot Holders (Thanks Sweets!)
5. Victoria Secret Pink Sweat Outfit and it's so cozy!
6. New Starbucks ornanment (Treat to myself)

I got a few other things, but these were my favorite. Our X-mas with the family was very nice considering I've been sick for the last week. I also received a really neat pre-made X-mas scrapbook. All I have to do is add photos and some journaling and I'm done!

I can't wait to take everything down this weekend and get ready for my annual New Year's cleaning!

What A Drag

I've been sick for the last few days and it SUCKS! I though yesterday i was feeling better so I headed out and went shopping and now I wish I would have stayed in bed. Now I am paying for it! We are having dinner at my in-laws tonight so I must get better. So Alex is letting me stay in bed all day until its time to get ready. Although I can't complain that much because we just finished watching Home Alone (another tradition movie) had some breaksfast, and drank coffee out of our new X-mas mugs. So I am happy, just bummed though.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

At Last

Now I have completed my Christmans To Do List. I've done my cards, baking, shopping, wrapping, and now I can just relax. I went to Blockbuster and rented National Lampoon Christmas. Tonite me and Alex are going to watch it over some In and Out Burger! It's a tradition for us. We rent old Christmas movies, cuddle and have a nice evening together.

Frosty the Snowman

Tonite my brother, sister and I watched Frosty the Snowman and drank some hot cocoa. It was just too cute for the fact that they were listening, not running around, and we were just enjoying the movie and sipping our cocoa.

Good to know that they can enjoy a movie with their "big" sister.

Giving Back

Today my family and I went and helped out at a family shelter. Alex was Santa and me and my little brother were Santa's helpers. It was nice to give back and it made me appreciate what I have more. Just watching the families get excited over the little things that we did for them was moving. We passed out presents, candy canes and a little moose reindeer.

From now on Alex and I have committed to giving our time each holiday season instead of just writing a check. I will post some pictures in a few days.

After that my family and I got a X-mas tree and we went back home (my parents) and we decorated the tree. The kids were super excited and too cute.

Then we headed to Target to get last minute gifts. We even got ourselves a few things. We got some X-mas flannel sheets, X-mas PJ's and I got more X-mas socks.

Tomorrow we are meeting some friends for Secret Santa and then have to start my baking!

Christmas Party

Last night was my company's Holiday party. It was held at Maggiano's in Santana Row. Had some good food, good wine, good company and some fun!

We got a stocking filled with some nice goodies! Can't wait to put the gift cards to use. Also a co-worker/friend made an ornament that was way cute.

Here is a picture of us....

Mission Acomplished

Yesterday, Alex and I got up super early and headed out to Valley Fair to start/finish our Christmas Shopping. We were able to get my family, his family, our Secret Santa gifts, and I even picked up a little something for my scrapbook friends. We were finished around noon time..so we did good time. But I still have to take a trip to Target to grab a few more gifts. I even had some free time to do a little scrapbooking and even made it to the gym.

All in all it was a successful day at the mall!

Although this week is going to be super busy.

Finish up classes (Finals!)
Company Holiday party on Thursday (Maggiano's and so looking forward to it!)
Alex is Santa on Saturday for a Homeless shelter
On Sunday hang out with some friends and do some holiday activities. (Have to wrap gifts)
TONS OF BAKING on Sunday for Alex's co-workers!!!!

Not sure why I just wrote my schedule, I should have wrote it in my planner! HEHEHE

Maybe I'll get a breather in there! =)

Hope you all have a nice week!

Fun Filled Day

Here are some of the X-Mas cards that I've made today. I made around 15 of them.

The first two aren't my favorite...but I did my best.

Our X-mas Tree

Here is a phots of our tree. This year we decided to go artifical and small. But it's very cute. It decorated with my Starbucks ornaments and some special ones that we've received and collected over the years.

Starbucks Lover

Well since the Christmas Holiday spirit is kicking in for me (Official this Friday!) I've gotten the following items for Starbucks:

- The latte ornaments (Early Gift from my mom)
- Christmas Blend Coffees
- I've got a new Starbucks card...the cute blue snowflake one..

Then on my way up to a meeting with a co-worker today we were listening to Christmas music on 94.5 and it so got me in the mood!

So this Friday I am officially starting the Christmas decorations and will be working on my X-mas cards. Hmmmm...I might even have to take a trip to Starbucks and purchase the Snow Globe. Since that is other "new" thing I'm doing during the holiday seasons.

Wine Lovers

On Saturday me, my mom, grandma, and 3 of my aunties took a day trip to Napa. We rented a limo and with that we went to five wineries.

1. Robert Mondavi (MY FAVORITE WINE)
2. Beringer - That one was kind of boring. My mom kept calling it the 7-11 winery!
3. Merryvale - Nice, but expensive
4. V, Sattui - Our favorite. It was cute, the people were nice and my mom kept flirting with Bob!
5. Peju - This one was a little snotty. You had to know everything about wine and look like a million dollars.

For lunch we went to a resturant called Martini House which was so elegant and expensive, but my grandma being sweet that she is treated us all to lunch. All in all we had such a wonderful time.

For Alex's upcoming b-day and Valentine's since its two days apart I'm taking him to Napa. He is all jazzed about it!

Well today is starting off right! I just finished baking a Pumkin and Banana bread and they both look and smell so yummy! I baked one for my parents dinner and my in-laws dinner.

I'm thankful today for my family, friends, and Alex.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Day 2 - Accomplished

Well I spent most of my day at school. I got alot of upcoming assignments and projects done. Good news is I can just enjoy the last couple of weeks left and not stress so much about school. Bad news I have take finish my last unit of math this sememster! So I have to first take my quiz tomorrow..and I'm sort of prepared but I still have to go over a few things. Not going to stress about it, so I will just do the best that I can tomorrow and take it from there.

Gotta run and hit the books!

Vacation - Day 1

Again I've decided to take some much needed vacation from work.

Today started off as a usual Monday, got up and went to school. Then afterwards just came home did some scrapbooking and made a list of things to buy for the upcoming X_mas holiday. Mostly for my cards and some decorations. Soon after I went to my mom's and visited for awhile. Then around 3:30pm I was home and passed out on the couch and next thing I know its 5:30pm and its DARK outside. So here I am groggy, bored, and just waiting for tomorrow to be here. Not really sure why I am s bored. I thought I would be thrilled to not do nothing.

Tomorrow will be better though since I will be at school most of the day finishing up some last minute projects and homework.

Happy Birthday Brother!

Today is my lil brother's b-day. He turned 8 today. Being the good sister that I am I went over and bought him a cake and 2 b-day gifts. He really liked that fact that I came over on my day off (from babysiting) and spent the evening with him. Although he was a lil emotinal today he still seemed to enjoy the special moments.

I got him the Monster House dvd so as I was leaving, him and Victoria were watching it quietly.

This weekend is his b-day bash!

Borat

OH MY GOODNESS, this movie was so funny! Me and Alex saw it Saturday nite and it was the best spent Saturday in a long time.

If you have not seen this movie, it's a must. But I must warn you that if you take things personal and get offensive easily than it's not the movie for you. See for me I love movies like that where you can be honest. Since I am a pretty blunt person it is right up my alley. Alex, as well enjoyed the movie very much. It's worth buying too.

Calmness

Here is the card that I made for my friend, Jen.

Well nothing too excting has happened.

Except that this week and been so calm and stress free for me. I'm learning not to sweat the small stuff. It really seems to be working. I just figured you know people are going to be the way they are and the sad thing is they have to wake up every day with themselves being bitchy or "I know it all" attitude and I'm just glad that I can now wake up and cherish the day and not get so uptight and EMOTIONAL about those little things. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

Although this weekend is going to be jam packed. Friday night I have tutoring..I know kinda sucks, but I'm meeting my tutor, which is a friend of mine, at Panera Bread so I get to grab some yummy coffee and their french toast bagel. Aahh the little things in life that make my smile. =)
Saturday I'm FINALLY getting my haircut, have to run some errands for a bridal shower, make a card for the Bride-to-Be...I'll post afterwards. Then Saturday evening having date nite will Alex. We are due for one, so I think we might go see the movie Borat. Although I am not sure if he wants too.
Sunday is the bridal shower and I'm so excited! I have to say at first when I took the role as a bridesmaid I though "Oh no!', but come to find out she is an awesome bride and friend. Not a BRIDEZILLA! So the shower and all the events to occur will be fun!

I hope everyone else is having a nice week!

Tea Time

Today me and my friends went to Lisa's Tea Treasures in Santana Row. It turned out to be a hit! We all dressed up very girly, some of us including myself wore pearls, I gave out favors, and it was just fun!

We all had tea, cute petite sandwiches, and yummy desserts.

I would defintely go there again!

Happy Halloween

Well today was a nice Halloween. I gave each co-worker a goodie bag filled with treats and I got to use my Halloween stamps that only cost me $1.00. I also wore a cute Halloweeen shirt from Old Navy that cost me $5.00. Yes I am a cheap shopper!

Since I had school tonight I wasn't on planning doing anythng special, but my teacher let us out at 6:30pm. So I hurried home and told Alex we should order some pizza, open a bottle of wine and watch a scray movie in the dark....and we did! It was nice and a little scary cause of the movie.

We got a few trick or treaters so luckily I had some extra candy left over.

But as usual Alex had to go to bed which meant we had to end the night early. But it was a nice Halloween for 2006.

Now can't wait for my Christmas spirit to kick in!

Pink Awareness

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness, Lifetime had a movie that just ended and was so good. it was about a young woman who had breast cancer and she was going to have to go thru chemo, changes in her marriage, and her life itself. The most admiring thing that I noticed about her is she wore red lipstick to give her courage. If when she was losing her hair, she dressed up in her pumps, walked with confidence and of course her red lipstick.

Check your local listing cause it's worth seeing.

My great-grandma had breast cancer and she fought it not only once but twice. She died a few years ago, not of cancer, but natural causes. But as I remember her today she was a courageous woman and never let anything get to her. I'm thinking going thru her obstacle with cancer it had to made her a strong woman.

So please, check yourself regularly, support breast cancer and if you can contribute in any way, please do so. Tell you girl friends, mom, sister, aunts, grandmas, co-workers, anyone that you care for inform them of breast cancer.

BTW..Payless Shoes is having a Pink BOGO in heart of breast cancer, so I will be making a visit to purchase some pink shoes and purchase the key chain as the profits go to a foundation.

Scrapbook Tower

It's done and put too use!

I need to fix our computer cords...it looks ugly.

Lazeiness

This weekend was again another eposiode of relaxation. Yesterday and today we did not wake up till 11:00am! It was so nice to sleep in. Yesterday we just chilled in bed to about 3 and then headed to our friends house for a b-day party. It was nice to see them since it's been so long since we've hung out. We had pizza and watch the movie The Omen. It was a lil freaky but I have to say it was good.

Today, we just got back from Denny's and Alex is now putting together my scrapbook tower! I'm so excited cause I got another idea for my scrapbook storage. We have this other wall that would be perfect for a shelf and some cute baskets to store all my stuff. So if I have time later I might head over to the Container Store and pick up a shelf or two.

Now off to write my final paper for Humanties.

Added Touch to Our Nest-UPDATE

So we've gotten our wall painted and it looks so nice. Makes the apartment feel more cozy and warm.

Here is a picture of the wall.

Added Touch to Our Nest

Tomorrow we are getting our main wall in the apartment painted! YAY! I know I know some you are thinking why just one wall and why paint the inside of your apt? So we asked our manager if we can paint and we can. All we do is move our stuff..no cost, no mess! We've decided on a warm beige color since it goes with our decor in the living room well most of the apt anyway. =)

We are currently saving for a house and we are hoping in about 3-4 years we will be able to buy since during that time I will be 1/2 way done with college and there won't be so much pressure. Maybe the house market will be good at that time. Who knows right?

Just thinking about buying is so stressful! I mean we just want to be smart about it all, be able to afford the mortgage every month withou going into debt and refinance every 6 months, and buy a house that doesn't need a $50,000 makeover that you can't afford! I know it's a good investment and a good tax break but if that is so then why are most homeowners in DEBT! If you really wanted an investment shouldn't you have a 401(k) Plan?

I don't know I'm just not all that thrilled about debt and going into debt. I guess for me and the hubs we want to buy a house, having savings, and still live comfortable just like we do now. In a way I think we are really smart when it comes to money...we think realistically and not a fairytale life cause that is what gets most people in trouble.

But I already have plans we when do get our dream home...I'm going to have scrapbook room, big kitchen so I can bake and have some SPACE, we would like to turn the garage into a lil gym for us, must have pergo flooring, and new appliances. Isn't that asking to much? HEHEHEHE

Well soon as the "wall" get decorated I post a picture!

Pumpkin Weekend

Yesterday I took my lil sister and brother to the Pumpkin Patch. Since I was a "Pretty Little Lady" I got 3 medium size pumpkins for $10.00!

As from my previous post I also made a Pumpkin Cheese Bread. It came out so tasty!

Here are some pictures from the patch.

I'm a Geek

So I've been taking this reading class for my GE courses and the teacher suggested that the new vocab words we get each week, we are to create flashcards labeling the new word and defintion. At first I was like no way, but I just finsihed making my new flash cards and they are in fun pastel colors! Which means I can easily toss them in my purse and bust them out and pratice them.
Some might say that is silly, but for me it's an advantage since most of my friends are college graduates and sometimes they say words that I have no idea what they mean and will be in conversations and not understanding what they are saying. But now I can express my new found words!

YAY!

Desire to Bake and Craft

Here is the Pumpkin Cheese Bread that I just made. It taste so YUMMY!

I'm bringing a loaf over tonite to share with my scrapbook friends. Hope they enhoy it! =)

I just ordered the Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade dessert book. I've been wanting this book for a really long time. So since it was on sale I've decided to order it. If it comes in the mail this week I am going to have to put it to use!

For some reason I'm in the mood for scrapbooking and baking. So this weekend we have no plans..YAY..so I think I might have to play Martha Stewart. Luckily my friend is having a workshop Saturday morning so that will be good because I can kick-off the weekend right. But I'll have to stick with my bidget..$40.00. =(

I will post pictures over the weekend on my desserts and crafts.

I Love Shopping!

Since it was me and Alex's weekend with his parents we stayed the nite and hung out. Saturday consists of drinking wine, candy, and watching movies. Today I went shopping with my SIL and we had so much fun! I got some cute shirts for A & F. I don't usually shop there since a.) you have to be super skinny and b.) it's way expensive, but they were having a good sale on their shirts. Since I needed some weekend clothes I figured why not? Then I got some converse (now me and Alex can match; he has a pais), a cute pink sweater from the Gap and some other "things" from Victoria Secrets.

I just love the sales!!!

The Leaves are Falling

Well we have received our first day of rain on Sunday and I must say that I enjoyed it. I am now ready for the fall because it calms me down and brings me to relaxation. Don't get me wrong I love summer, but it tends to stress me out! So now that I know it's going to start raining I am thrilled. It also means I can now slowly but surely get into the upcoming holidays. More baking, more DVD nights, Pumpkin Spice lattes, sweaters, scarves, UGG boots and last but not least my stress levels goes down!

So that means I'm going to have to take a trip to Michael's this weekend and pick up some fall decor (I can't find mine from last year)! Although I did buy a few pumpkin spice and vanilla spice candles so I can put the to use now.
Well I must go now to finish my paper. =(

Nothing Fun...

Have nothing to post that is fun but wanted to post SOMETHING! Although, I did make some Fall cards and they came out so devine! I gave each of my closet friend a card. =) I even made Alex one I'll post pictures later.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Yesterday we went and bought a new TV and DVD player. We purchased a Phillips 27" for $250.00 at Walmart. What a Good Deal, right! So we put the new TV in the living room and placed the old one in the bedroom. We defintely put the TV and DVD player to use last nite and watched some DVD's.

Today we just relaxed and ran some errands. I took my car in and went to Michaels and Scrapbook Dreams to get a few things for some cards I will be making.

Tonight I am meeting with my scrapbook friends to watch the season premier of Desperate Housewives!

Can't Wait!!!!

Much Needed Break

Well today was a much needed REST day. I've been s tired lately since I've been back at school and work is busy. So when I was waking up this morning I was so tired and exhausted I decided to not go into work and take the time to sleep. I know that it's not the smartest thing to do, but in order for me to succeed at everything I do I needed this time to rest. I literally slept all day and it was so nice to get caught up.

Part of the reason I'm so tired is I'm just non-stop at everything. I realized that I was burning myself out by trying to go to school, work, spend time with friends and family and there was no balance. So I've decided to take some time out and not make so many plans with people. I'm going to need to use my weekend to do homework and rest. I know that I have to see my friends and family and I will but I'm going to balalance it all out. I also thought being busy was fun in a way, not sure which way, but I realize it's not. I need my sanity and energy to do well. Especially that I'll be starting my new position soon at work I want to do %100 so I need my rest.

Well enough about that..on another note I'm so excited that this weekend me and Alex are FINALLY getting a TV for the bedroom! Which means we are going to be spending alot of time in the bedroom watching DVD's on the weekends! YAY! See little things like this make me happy!

Well now it's time to get ready for work and school. Until next time............

What A Happy Turn-Out

Today was my parent's 5-year wedding anniversary! I decided to get the family together for a brunch and celebrate their love. I went to Whole Foods and got some fruit, champagne and OJ for some mimosas. Then I headed to Panera Bread and got some yummy bagels.

My family loved Panera Bread and loved the entire brunch. As for gifts my parents loved the scrapbook and it just brought everyone to tears. They also loved the pictures of the kids as well.

In the end my parents thanked me and they all said I am the best daughter for giving them a brunch and celebrating their special day with the family.

I am just so blessed to have a loving and warm family. Aside from all the family drama we really know how to come together to celebrate and have a fun-filled day.

Coming to an End

Well since Alex is out bowling with some friends...he joined a league. So I had some "free" time to wrap up my parents' wedding scrapbook and I just have 2 more pages and I am done! YAY! It was alot of work and MONEY, but I've learned new techniques so when I start to work on another book. Not sure which one since I have three pending albums. I have a "friends", "family" and Chapter 2 of me and Alex. I guess I can work on all 3 at the same time as events or special moments occur.

Well gottta go now to do some homework! BOO HOO!!!!!!!

Scrapbook Fest 2006-Part 1

This past Saturday was my scrapbook party and it turned out good! I was pretty much Martha Stewart, but not as perfect as her! I made cupcakes that stood on a cupcake stand, buffalo wings, and other snacks. I also went to Michael's and made each guest a cute goody bag. It contained Halloween stickers for a card or scrapbook page, stamp and a hold puncher. They really enjoyed and appreciated it all!

I was able to work on my parents book and it's coming out so cute! Luckily my friends had a few ideas and products I was able to use to make the page stand out more. I'm so going to have to take another trip to Michael's to grab more crafty supplies!

In the end we had fun and I enjoyed myself very much!

What a day!

Today was such a crazy day! I started school this week so I can to take care a few things and still be at work at the same time. So I'm tired, but for some reason still up and online!

Gotta love myspace and Blogger!

Although I am looking forward to this Saturday since it's my scrapbook party and I have a few things going on with that. I'm baking and making lil gifts for my guests. I tend to go overboard, but hey that is just me! =)

Well good nite!

Carmel was so nice!

Well we headed up to Carmel yesterday and had such a good time. We went to two wineries and did some wine tasting. Man after the 3rd glass I was so feeling it, but being me I ended up drinking more. We went to Heller Estates which was really cute and cozy. The staff was really nice to us. Then we went to Bernandus...now that was nice but straight up posh! If you drove a Mercedes and looked like a million dollars they were extra nice, therefore me and Alex are either so we got fair treatment. Afterwards we headed to Carmel Beach on Ocean Avenue and went to the lil shops. Had some lunch at this ice Italian resturant and then to my suprise we headed to Tiffany's and Alex bought me this cross! We just went it to "look" and I saw that necklace and I though well I'll save for it, but Alex was like we'll take it. AWW SO SWEET,RIGHT? Then, we headed to the beach and just snuggled up and watch the other beach goer's and all the cute kids. Since the sun had gone away we weren't able to see the sunset so we just headed home.

It was such a good day to spend with Alex since we don't spend too much time alone. Can't wait for the next "date".

Summer is coming to an End!

Since summer is coming to an end, I have to say I have had a wonderful summer. I spent much needed time with Alex, my family, and friends. Lots of memories to remember and scrapbook.

A good thing has happened to me at work...I got an opportunity to work more in the Daily Val group and hopefully become a consultant. This has been such an exciting process, but I'm nervous as well. So to say I think my goals here are coming true.
=)

So this weekend me and Alex are headed to Carmel for the day to finalize the summer. We're going to bring our pinic basket filled with cheese, crackers, and some wine. We plan on having lunch at this cute Italian restaurant, do some window shopping, and end the evening watching the sunset. So romantic right!

The Latest

Since I haven't been bloggin it's because I have been to busy with scrapbooking! I'm just about done with the "Friends" book, athough it's a never ending project. But so far it has come out really cute!

I'm now going to start working on my parent's wedding album. Since it's their 5 year next month and I know my mom wished that she had a better photo album, I'm going to scrapbook all her wedding photos, take a few pictures of me and the kids...maybe professionally, and I asked a few of our family members to write a nice note or words of wisdom and then placed all that in the book. I think she will really appreciate the scrapbook. =) I'm so excited as well.

Also I just discovered this new scrapbook store, well actually a friend introduce me to it! It's called Scrapbook Island and OMG I love it!!! I think that is going to be my "main store" for scrapbooking and of couse Michael's.

I know how to focus on my parent's album, my scrapbook party that I'm having on the 9th and just finish helping my mom with Raymond's baptism. And then school starts for me in 2 weeks!! ARGH!

As you can tell I am busy! But it's definetely been fun.

Gurl's Nite

No we are not going clubbing! HAHAHA

Me and a co-worker, Rachel are going to scrapbook tomorrow nite (Friday) and I'm so excited for two reason.

1. Um...we are SCRAPBOOKING! I'm going to finish a page or two of a camping trip I took with some friends this past October and work on the final "Summer Days" of my good friend Iliana. Can't wait to show you sweetie!!

2. She gets to see my santuary...my home. Now I know some of you have seen my place, but I get all excited when I have new company. Even though I live in an apt. and its sort of small I think its cute and homey. There are just pictures of family and friends everywhere and I always have fresh flowers. Now I usually go way out, but since we are meeting afterwork and tonite was date nite I didn';t get to do too much. So I just placed a craft table up for all our scrapbook supplies.

Oh and I'm getting the Sizzix on Saturday! Another hot item to add to my "tool box." Thanks Grandma

Movie Nite

Well last nite me and the "Scrapbook Crew" saw Step Up. I though it was so cute and yes the main guy, Tyler, is freaking HOTT even Nora, one of the dancers. All in all it was a good movie.

It's Monday.....

Nothing new and exciting to post. Except that I went to my first class of BOOTCAMP at the gym this morning and oh my goodness it was tough! First I though oh yeah piece of cake, I know my stuff at the gym...um not so much. I was haulin butt and couldn't keep up at all.

First I was frustrated cause I love working out and I'm very good at it so I couldn't see why I was so slow. But then I realized I'm not used to this. Give me a couple more weeks and I'll feel better about it.

I haven't been to the gym in like 3 days and already I was feeling fat so I was so glad that I was able to get back in the groove of things this morning.

Back to Boot Camp on Monday!!!!

Being Sick Really.....

SUCKS!

It all started Friday AM..I had a running nose, sneezing, and a slight ear ache. At first I though it was allergies, but I don't have allergie, but I kept pysching myself out that I had. Well it turned out to be a head cold. I've been in bed since Friday, 4:00pm til this morning at 9:00am. It really sucked cause I had fun things to do on Saturday and I couldn't make it to both. I had a craft party to attend and then afterwards I had a Farewell Pool Party that I was suppose to attend along with a fruit salad and matte sign framed. Luckily my friend's mom had a matted frame already so that the idea was still in place. I'm just really bummed that I was sick and couldn't do nothing all weekend.

Although today I feel much better...I woke up feeling much better, but I still have the sniffles, but I'm able to do some around the house chores and got to use my Kitched Aid Mixer; its a white one. OMG this is the best thing ever! Since I'm more of a baker and not a cooker I love it. So I whipped up a batch of cupcakes for Alex since he was so kind and sweet to me this weekend. Now I get to bake more and the cool thing is my mixer came with a dessert cookbook! YAY for me!

First Card

Here is a picture of my first card that I've made all on my own! YAY for me!

Its sort of blurry, but it says "Wishing you a day full of joy".

I made it for a couple friend who is about to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary.

Money, Money, Money

So now that I'm back to the grind, I had some bills to pay and go over our budget and let me tell you that WHOA we've spent way too much money over the last few weeks. I know that it was our vacation and all, but I just wish that I would have been more careful about spending money.

Alex and I are not big spenders and we are huge about saving money. We're not in CC debt, but we also don't have a HUGE savings account...but who does these days and we have our 401(k) so right now being on a strict budget is good for us.

So when I told him that "honey we need to budget a lil more in the next few weeks" he was lil bummed as I was too cause that means no more eating out for lunches/dinners, no more Starbucks, well no I take that back just have to limit the coffee breaks, and no more buying SCRAPBOOK SUPPLIES! I have enough for now.

Its just going to have to go back the way things were which is fine, but after a 1.5 off of just "Whatever" you kinda get used to it. At least for us we did.

Taking this all into consideration it was way worth it so I can get back to the budgeting and spending our money more wisely.

Last Day of Vacation

Today is my last day of vacation and summer in a sense. Kinda bummed but happy at the same time. We ended our last day with a delicous breakfast at Denny's, came home and napped, watched a few tv shows and then this evening heading over to my grandmas and mom's. Although tonight I'm going to need to put myself back to work frame. I have a meeting tomorrow so I will need to get mentally ready for that.

All is all I had a wonderful vacation, did some soul searching, spend tons of much needed time with Alex and the family, and also got to hang out with some friends. Accomplsihed a few crafty and "around the house" projects. Now ready to get back to work, start school in a few weeks and start savng some money;we've spent WAY too much money this summer and was totally off budget, but hey it was worth it and now time to get serious.

Now to the next chapter in my life.......the real world! =)

Crafty I am!

So I'm now on my way to fnishing up my "Friends Scrapbook". I'm so exicted cause its coming out so cute. I still have a few more memorable moments to scrapbook and then I'm all done. Last night the scrapbook crew came over and we scrapbooked for a few hours and got to know each other more. Had so fun and intersting conversations. I wish my friends the very best!

Although after realizing that I just have way to much supplies such as paper and stickers I'm no longer allowed to buy more of that. Lori recommned a scrapbook store so I'm going to have to go there and get some more stuff! But all in all I created a inventory list of what I have now. So going forward I'm always going to look at the list of supplies and see what I have before I go buy anything. I still need to get some cute boxes to store all my stuff in to be more organzied. One day when we buy our home I'm just going to have to have a scrapbook room.

On that note, I've accomplish alot of scrapbook to do stuff last nite.

What A Man!

I just would like to say I have the best husband ever! Babe I love you!

Even though today is consider one of our vacation days, I got to spend some time with my friend Jen. She is getting married in January and we had to get some wedding stuff done and she was taking me out for my b-day. I felt really bad cause we had said that we were going to take the next few days left together meaning no friends and family, but since he knew how important this was to Jen he was totally cool with it. NO QUESTIONS ABOUT IT! Of course he could have threw a huge fit but he didn't. That is what I say "WHAT A MAN!"

It was a good day spent with Jen since we don't have alot of time to spend together except at the gym. And by the way we kicked ass today at the gym! We are going to look good for the wedding. She is going to be a hott bride and yes I am going to be a hott bridesmaid. HEHEHE
We picked out the bridesmaid dresses, well I got to and its just a simple black dress with a v-neck and back. So simple but elegant. Then we got to trying on some bridal dresses and OMG she is going to look so gorgeous! I love it! I can't really say what it looks like just yet, but I'll keep ya'll posted.

All in all it was a good day and I came home early to spend some time with Alex, even though he playing his PS2 right now.

Until next time.....................

Boy, What A Day!

Well today started off a lil shaky..I kinda woke up in a bad mood and was driving Alex NUTS! But luckily after my morning coffee I was good to go. =)

First started I had to get my depo shot. Now tell me this....what is with the receptionist talking in Portguese about going out today while I was standing there waiting for me to let her know I had an appointment and new insurance infomation to give her? I only knew what she was talking about cause Alex understood that language. Ummmm shouldn't all PERSONAL CALLS be taking during LUNCH TIME! YEAH! She was soooo rude!!! After that we headed to Hometown Buffet for lunch and that was way yummy. Of course if you know Alex, he had about 3 plates of food. Yeah my boy can eat! Then, we headed to TJ Maxx where I finally found a sign that says "Always Kiss Me Goodnight". Too cute, right! Once our shopping trip was over we saw the movie Click. Um its defintely a blcokbuster rental...luckily we had free movie tickets so I didn't feel bad abut wasting some moola on a bad film. Then we headed to Mervyn's and Bed, bath and Beyond for more shopping. Got a whole new bathroom design and bedroom desing. (Will post pictures later).

At last we are home to enjoy some time out on the couch, cuddling and and watching our Thursday nite shows: Making the Band 3 and Run's House!

Good Nite!

I'm New!

Well I just find out that two people that I know are currentky using this webiste to blog. Though I give it a try to see....

So here I am at home~blogging. I'm currently on vacation and loving it! It has been very mind relaxing but nerve racking at the same time. For a minute I was going nuts cause I had so much free time to myself. So instead I got in the kitchen and made some lunch, and jello for Alex and then I plopped on the couch to catch up on my rading and then headed out to a scarpbook party. Did some damage but so needed new supplies.

You know I can get used to this....until next time........
